Frequently Asked Questions

Who is Rich Theatre?

Rich Theatre is a family-oriented theatre company dedicated to providing a safe place where children and adults can experience the transformative power of storytelling while cultivating a community of integrity and creative exploration. Rich Theatre's focus is educational theatre.

What is educational theatre?

Educational theatre is the term used to indicate children performing on stage for an audience. Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) is the term used to indicate adults performing family friendly shows.

When is the earliest I can drop off my young actor before class?

15 min before class time. If you arrive any earlier, please wait with your young actor until you see a staff member.

When/Where are classes?

We have two class locations:

Class locations are specified on the Class Descriptions page.

What is your refund policy?

We understand that schedules change and the unexpected can happen.

  • Cancellations made 15-30 days before the first day of class will receive a full refund

  • Cancellations made less than 1 week before the first day of class will receive a 50% refund.

  • If the cancellation is made less than 2 weeks before the first day of class and takes the class roster to less than 3 students, no refund will be given. This is to be fair to the other students who enrolled and are expecting class. A minimum of three students is required for the class to take.

If cancellation is required by Rich Theatre for any reason, a full refund will be given.

Can my child miss a few days of class and still participate?

We understand that there will be occasional scheduling conflicts. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer pro-rated prices. If you plan on missing more than 3 weeks of classes, we would recommend waiting for the next session.

What if my child decides not to stay in class? Can we get a refund?

It is extremely rare that a student decides to leave. However, in the unlikely event that your child is unable to continue with class after the session has started, the tuition fee is non-refundable. This is because once class has begun, our costs are non-refundable. We use tuition to pay for things such as the venue, our highly qualified professional instructors, equipment and more.

What is your staff-to-student ratio?

We strive to keep class sizes low to ensure personalized instruction, tailored focus and student-to-peer comfort. Acting and the arts require a trust and vulnerability more easily acquired within a small group setting. Our class sizes start at 3 students and max out at 10.

Are there any special supplies or clothes we need to bring?

Students will be asked to wear comfortable, loose-fitting and modest clothing for all classes, including voice lessons. Physical warm-ups and range of motion are key in using the body as an instrument.

Dance class students will be asked to provide their own dance shoes as specified in the class description.
